Registration Policies

Cancellation Policy

The Crucible has the right to cancel any class for any reason. In some cases, classes are cancelled due to low enrollment. In the event The Crucible cancels your class, you will be notified by phone or email and your course fees will be credited or refunded in full.

Withdrawal & Transfer Policy

Each class fee includes a non-refundable registration fee of $50. Students who withdraw from a class at least 7 days prior to the class’ first scheduled session will receive a full refund, less the non-refundable registration fee. No portion of course fees will be refunded or transferred if a withdrawal is made less than 7 days before the start of the class’ first session or after the start of the first class session. There are no exceptions. To withdraw from a class, call (510) 444-0919 Monday – Thursday, 10am to 6pm or Friday 10am to 2pm and you will receive a confirmation code for your withdrawal. If a student wishes to transfer, they must first withdraw from the class they are signed up for at least 7 days prior to the start date, adhering to the withdrawal policy above. Any refund or credit due after withdrawal can be applied to enrollment in a different class.

Youth in Adult Classes 

Youth 16 years and older can take adult classes unless otherwise stated. All youth attending adult classes must bring a signed youth consent form with them to the first day of class, if it has not already been sent in ahead of time. Youth who show up without a completed consent form or without a parent or guardian will not be allowed to take the class and will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

Missed Classes Policy

There are no refunds, transfers, make-ups, or deferments for missed classes.
